Packaging materials testing takes place in a central facility and is used to evaluate both the pack and product for optimal fit and pricing. We establish to what extent the pack is over- or under-promising relative to its product. In the first phase of the packaging materials testing, we determine which of the prototypes best communicates the value associated with the product, as well as how this value can be improved. The semi-qualitative interview evaluates value and price the respondent believes the product should be sold at. The second phase evaluates the product itself on aspects such as appearance, overall taste, sensory attributes, fit with brand and so on.
