Web usability consulting consists of three integrated research parts. The first one - expert review - is a protocol-based ‘heuristic’ evaluation by experts who are involved in training programs by Jakob Nielsen. Nielsen developed ten usability principles in order to measure a human-made product (such as a website) on its capacity to meet the intended purpose. In the second part of the research, respondents perform randomized tasks on the website with eye-tracking support, followed by in-depth face-to-face discussions. In the last stage of the usability project, we include sufficient samples in the program to quantify findings from the two previous stages.
